Description: This email list of the Berrien Birding Club is for posting questions, comments and information about birds, birding and upcoming birding events, as well as bird sightings reports from counties adjacent to Berrien County. In short, it's kind of an "anything goes as long as it's birding related" email list with a focus on Southwest Michigan.

Have fun, share and contribute, but be courteous and cautious about over posting. (i.e. Don't be "that birder" and turn the list serve into your personal social media site....)

If reporting sightings, include date, sighting location (County) and species name in the subject header. (Or something to the effect of "Sightings List" or "Trip Report" if reporting multiple species or a list from one or more locations.)

Use full bird names or easily understood abbreviations, not banding codes - as not all subscribers understand them.

Be as specific as possible about sightings locations, especially when reporting sightings away from well known local birding areas. Include name of site, park, city or township, nearest crossroad, etc. Basically, provide any information that would be helpful to an observer not familiar with the location.

Please include your full name in the message.
